Economic Commitment
Our economic approach
Our economic approach is aimed at new and modern production techniques that reflect our idea of becoming a sustainable company fully adapted to today's needs. We want to offer from organic yarns to innovative products that carry the label of "sustainable” wherever they are seen.
In this way, we have devised a series of lines based on technological improvements that have been developed in our plants, which seek to go a step further in terms of innovation in the textile industry. We also cover traceability and the certifications we currently carry.
GOTS Yarns
Back in 2018 we became the first company in the world to offer certified organic Alpaca yarns. It was possible since we certified our alpaca farm as organic. Our farm have over 4,000 alpacas in an area of more than 3,000 hectares in the Puno region and it is the
After two years of hard work and comply with the organic requirements, we became the pioneer company worldwide to start offering 100% Certified Organic Alpaca by the Global Organics Textiles Standards (GOTS). This certification is quite comprehensive since starts from the certification of the land and pastures, the alpaca, its fiber, all the processing - from sorting, scouring, carding combing, spinning, finishing and packing, as well as taking into account the social and working environment.
If your business model is based on organic yarns, please contact us to custom made your next GOTS alpaca yarn.
Sustainable Easy Wash
It is an anti-shrinkage enzymatic and oxidants treatment that allows the use of Alpaca yarns in new products that require machine washing and -very importantly- it is made in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
The characteristics of the new Sustainable Easy Wash Alpaca yarns are:
- The natural character of the fiber is maintained, and not as other treatments that loses it because the fiber is covered with synthetic material.
- We obtain a cleaner (whiter) fiber compared to the yellowing acquired by other treatments.
- All the treatment is free of chlorine, resins and sulfuric acid, so do not present any kind of contamination to the tributaries.
- Do not contain any type of harmful chemicals.
- It is approved by Oekotex, Blue Sign and Reach.
- Maximum shrinkage is only about 8%.
Sustainable Green Colours
This special line of dye stuffs is the result of our commitment to offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly line of colours.
After researching the latest developments in colours, we have been able to source purified organic dye stuffs from Italy that are used for the food and pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to its purity, these dye stuffs are non-toxic for those who handle and use them, and do not harm the environment.
The main features of our Sustainable Green Colours are:
- GOTS Certified, Oekotex 100 and ECO PASSPORT by Oekotex.
- Comply with REACH.
- Free of amines, allergens and halogens.
- Colours are brilliant and reproducible.
- Colour fastness meet the textile standards (3 and over).
The Sustainable Green Colours are available in 100% Alpaca and 100% Wool
Upcycle
Aiming to achieve a circular economy is another key point for us, thus we have come out with a line of yarns called Upcycle. What we propose is reuse leftover material from different production processes in the spinning and dyeing processes to reduce waste of materials.
Unlike recycling, upcycling does not destroy materials to recompose them, but gives them a new use without degrading or decomposing them. The yarns can be used for hand knitting , machine knitting and weaving
